Relationships with your key stakeholders (clients, prospects, employees, suppliers and business partners) must be valued as the most important assets of your business.  If you continuously nurture Relationships by communicating and interacting with all stakeholders, your business will grow and realise its potential.Relationships are the foundation of a successful business  If you ignore Relationships or are complacent about them, your business will suffer and be vulnerable to competitors taking your clients and employees.

The use of the word 'Relationships' is deliberate; for example with clients we are not discussing just customer service, but a stronger bond.  Clients must never be defined or valued just in terms of sales transactions, but as partners who achieve their own goals whilst contributing to your success.

Managing Relationships is the most people-dependent part of your business.  It involves positive interaction with all stakeholders.  People want to deal with people.  They have Relationships with people.  They want to be treated with respect and have their custom and contribution valued.
