Leadership
has many definitions and traditionally has be written for the
executive running a large corporation. In the FORMIDABLE
Business we look
at the skills and habits of successful leaders in building small to
medium sized businesses.
The
Leadership skills in the FORMIDABLE Business
have
been selected on the basis of my experience and practical knowledge
of working in the private sector for over 20
years. I
have coached dozens of business operators and have identified the
key Leadership attributes and skills that ensure a business
operator can realise the full potential of their
business.
Each of
the skills can be developed and learnt through training and
practical application. As with all skills the challenge is for
you to make the ongoing commitment to developing them and using
them in your business. Too often we learn new skills, use
them for a short period of time, and then go back to our old
habits. The real test is when we face a difficult situation –
do we revert back to our old ways?
Leadership
is defined in terms of the following skills;

Leadership
is more than leading a group of people. It is being able to
communicate a vision and work over an extended period to its
successful accomplishment.
